Associate Institutional NFR China

About the role

The Associate Institutional NFR China supports the management of non‑financial risk across ANZ's International Institutional business. Working closely with business and risk teams, the role helps identify, assess and monitor risks in Markets, Transaction Banking, Corporate Finance and Coverage, ensuring they stay within the approved risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to provide risk insights, challenge key risk themes and support balanced decision‑making.
• Assist in applying and maturing the Non‑Financial Risk Framework, including identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of material risks.
• Escalate risk incidents, control weaknesses and contribute to the enhancement of controls and processes.
• Prepare risk governance reporting and management information for relevant committees.
• Support regulator‑ready documentation, issue management and the implementation of regulatory changes.
• Contribute to the rollout of the PACT program to strengthen risk capability across the region.

Required profile

• Experience in non‑financial risk management within an institutional banking environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business, risk, compliance and control functions.
• Strong analytical mindset and commercial awareness.
• Proactive approach to risk governance and regulatory engagement.
