Associate IAM Engineer – Strategy, Governance, Risk & Compliance

About the role

PwC is looking for an experienced IAM professional to lead and operate identity and access management services for its Advisory practice in Pune. The role combines technical delivery, platform operations, and cross‑functional coordination with HR, IT Risk, Compliance and Infrastructure teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end IAM operations, including joiner‑mover‑leaver lifecycle, access request fulfillment and platform health monitoring.
• Run ITSM‑aligned processes for incidents, problems, changes, requests and knowledge management with clear escalation paths.
• Maintain and administer IAM platforms such as SSO/MFA, directories, IGA tools and related APIs/connectors.
• Lead audit and compliance execution for access controls, providing evidence, supporting recertifications and ensuring audit readiness.
• Drive automation and self‑service initiatives to reduce manual ticket volume and improve user experience.
• Partner with SecOps to implement monitoring, alerting and telemetry for IAM services.

Required profile

• 8‑12 years of experience in IAM or security operations, with at least 5 years leading teams and service delivery.
• Proven track record of operating IAM services at enterprise scale and managing third‑party service providers.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of communicating complex technical topics to senior leadership.
• Experience supporting audits and compliance frameworks such as SOX, SOC 2, ISO 27001 or PCI.
