Associate Finance Controller

About the role

The Associate Finance Controller will support Maersk’s finance team by ensuring accurate day‑to‑day financial transactions and compliance with accounting standards. This role focuses on cost and budget accounting, as well as managing accounts payable and receivable processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Perform cost accounting activities, including allocation of direct and indirect costs and variance analysis.
• Develop, monitor and report on annual revenue and expense budgets.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including billing and invoicing.
• Provide coaching and informal mentorship to junior staff and oversee work of lower‑level professionals.
• Support project‑based initiatives and contribute to tactical financial decisions.

Required profile

• Relevant work experience in finance or accounting, or equivalent advanced education.
• Ability to work independently within defined guidelines while seeking supervision for complex tasks.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
