Associate Director - Rail (Deputy Head)

About the role

The Senior Associate Director/Deputy Head of Rail will support the Head of Rail and senior management in delivering rail projects and growing the India team. This senior position requires strong technical knowledge of rail design, regulations and standards, as well as leadership and client‑facing abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions for complex rail projects and work with minimal supervision.
• Lead and expand the rail team in India, including recruiting, selecting and onboarding talent.
• Collaborate with senior management to define business continuity strategies and improve processes between business units and support functions.
• Oversee adoption of new technology solutions and report performance to senior leadership.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in civil/rail engineering, preferably with exposure to UK, US, UAE, Canada or Middle East markets.
• Proven leadership, decision‑making and people‑management skills.
• Strong communication, influencing and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain high accuracy.
