Associate Designer

About the role

The Associate Designer supports multidisciplinary airside design projects, ensuring quality, deadlines and budget compliance. The role involves technical reporting, engineering calculations and the production or review of airside drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Estimate task durations and manage personal workload.
• Assist in managing multidisciplinary airside design projects.
• Write detailed technical airside design analysis reports.
• Prepare airside infrastructure bills of quantities for bidding and execution stages.
• Perform airside engineering calculations such as electrical power, lighting, heat dissipation and structural analyses.
• Produce, oversee or review airfield layout drawings for lighting, signs, markings, ducts, pits and cabling.
• Create top, side and front view drawings for AVDGS systems.
• Integrate airside layouts into ADB Safegate systems (Apron Management, ALCMS, ICWP).
• Generate basic installation detail drawings for ADB Safegate products tailored to project requirements.
• Follow Autodesk Vault procedures to store and set up all project files correctly.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Intermediate understanding of project processes.
• Intermediate knowledge of ADB Safegate’s product portfolio.
• Basic understanding of airside operations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary, multicultural teams.

Required skills

• Autodesk AutoCAD – advanced level.
• Autodesk Vault – intermediate level.
• MS Office – advanced level.
• MS Teams – advanced level.
• Knowledge of airside infrastructure (marking, lighting, signage, heliport lighting, VDGS).
