Associate Data Engineer – Data & Analytics Advisory

About the role

At PwC, the Associate Data Engineer will design, build and maintain robust data infrastructure that enables clients to turn raw data into actionable insights. You will work within the Data and Analytics Advisory practice, creating pipelines, integration and transformation solutions that support efficient analysis and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and design complex data systems and pipelines.
• Lead and mentor junior data engineers and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data requirements.
• Implement advanced data quality checks and ensure data integrity.
• Optimize data processes for efficiency, scalability and cost‑effectiveness.
• Oversee data security, compliance measures and governance.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance the data ecosystem.
• Provide technical expertise for critical data projects.

Required profile

• Proven ability to design and build complex data pipelines and processing systems.
• Leadership or mentorship experience within a data engineering team.
• Strong analytical mindset with focus on data quality and optimization.
• Understanding of data security, compliance and governance best practices.
