Associate Creative Director – Copywriting

About the role

Buffalo Soldiers is seeking an Associate Creative Director (Copy) to lead copywriting and creative strategy for its growing portfolio of brands. You will work alongside the Head of Creative Strategy, account leads, and co‑founders to shape compelling storytelling across text, visuals, and video.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client presentations and pitch sessions, translating briefs into winning creative concepts.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to push creative boundaries for existing accounts and new business opportunities.
• Mentor and develop junior copywriters, fostering a supportive and high‑performing team culture.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Integrate data insights with creative output to ensure strategic relevance.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in copywriting and creative direction, preferably at an agency or fast‑growth startup.
• Zero‑ego, problem‑solving mindset with the ability to lead by example.
• Proven track record of award‑winning copy and commercial‑focused creative thinking.
• Strong management and mentorship capabilities.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining high quality and meeting deadlines.
