Associate Corporate Counsel

About the role

Cyient Semiconductors is looking for an experienced Associate Corporate Counsel to join its General Corporate & Compliance function. Based in Hyderabad, the role supports legal and regulatory matters across EMEA, APAC, and North America, working closely with cross‑functional stakeholders in a fast‑paced global environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including outsourced services, vendor, partnership, and reseller contracts.
• Provide legal advice on cross‑border transactions for EMEA, APAC, and NAM regions and stay updated on international contracting trends.
• Manage regulatory and contractual compliance, including export control, and develop related policies and procedures.
• Coordinate dispute and litigation matters with external counsel and support the Global Legal Head on contentious issues.
• Advise on employment matters and support M&A due diligence activities.
• Identify legal and commercial risks, delivering clear recommendations to business leaders and collaborating with Operations, HR, Finance, Risk, and IT Security.
• Mentor junior counsels, assist with proposal drafting, and engage with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.

Required profile

• 3+ years post‑qualification experience in general corporate law.
• Strong exposure to cross‑border commercial transactions; in‑house experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Pragmatic, business‑oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical abilities.

• Proficiency with contract management systems and legal tools.
