Associate Consultant – M&A

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Consultant to join our M&A advisory team. In this role you will support senior bankers in delivering high‑quality transaction services, from market research to client communications, while developing a solid foundation in corporate finance and deal execution.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare sector‑focused newsletters and market updates for internal and client use.
• Identify and qualify potential M&A clients for business‑development initiatives.
• Contribute to buy‑side and sell‑side pitch books, including credentials, investment highlights, industry overviews, and buyer/target profiling.
• Execute portions of valuation analysis using market‑approach methodologies.
• Assist in drafting sections of Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs) and Management Presentations.
• Perform financial and operational benchmarking across industries.
• Develop content for conference presentations and client workshops.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of financial statements, ratios, and M&A concepts.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a commercial outlook.
• Academic background such as CA, CFA, or an MBA with a finance/investment focus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using research databases such as Capital IQ, Refinitiv, Pitchbook, and Factiva.
