Associate - Architecture

About the role

We are seeking an Associate – Architecture to lead technical design solutions across all project stages, ensuring high‑quality, compliant outcomes for complex construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of architectural technical design solutions and establish the design delivery strategy in collaboration with project leadership.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to produce coherent, compliant design information and maintain design quality, technical accuracy, and appropriate level of detail.
• Identify design risks, develop mitigation strategies, and oversee production of drawings, models, reports and presentation materials.
• Prepare design sketches and presentations to communicate intent to stakeholders.
• Collaborate on project scope, programme, deliverables and resource planning; manage delivery across multiple projects, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality standards are met.
• Support the Project Execution Plan, financial forecasting and resource planning while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and UK building regulations.
• Monitor health and safety risks, contribute to risk assessments and provide coaching and technical guidance to junior and senior team members.
• Promote a culture of technical excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Qualified Architect (Chartered preferred) with 15+ years of experience in the architectural/construction industry.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale, complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and standards.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation and other BIM tools.
• Strong expertise in construction methodologies and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience delivering tender and construction‑stage packages.
• Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
