Assistant/Deputy Manager – TPM Engineering, Active Safety & Braking Systems

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant/Deputy Manager (TPM) to lead engineering activities for active safety and new braking systems at Bosch’s Chassis Systems India facility. The role involves developing, testing and calibrating advanced safety functions such as ABS, ESP and innovative braking concepts for ICE, hybrid and electric vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute vehicle tests, evaluate performance and calibrate control algorithms for active safety systems.
• Develop and adapt solutions for a range of power‑train technologies (ICE, HEV, EV) and support driver‑assistance system development.
• Analyse customer specifications, translate them into system requirements and ensure compliance with Bosch, customer and legal standards.
• Conduct seasonal test campaigns, troubleshoot hardware, software and data‑acquisition issues, and provide technical support to customers.
• Follow Bosch’s development and quality processes and assist other departments in project acquisition and technical activities.

Required profile

• Engineering graduate or postgraduate with 5‑9 years of experience in the automotive domain.
• Hands‑on experience with hydraulic brake systems, brake sizing calculations and vehicle dynamics.
• Practical knowledge of tyre and suspension tuning and dynamic vehicle testing.
• Awareness of current automotive industry trends and regulations.

Required skills

• Vehicle testing (brake tests, lane‑change on varied surfaces).
• ABS and ESP system knowledge, homologation testing.
• Programming in C, Matlab and Simulink.
• Data‑acquisition tools (DAQ, Vbox, Vector, data loggers, sensors).
• Hydraulic brake system design and brake‑system calculations.
• Vehicle dynamics analysis.
