Assistant Teacher – Early Childhood

About the role

We are seeking creative, compassionate, and enthusiastic Assistant Teachers to support our teaching staff in nurturing toddlers, three‑year‑olds, and Pre‑K students. The role involves contributing to the social, spiritual, and educational development of young learners within a supportive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in delivering curriculum and activities for toddler, three‑year‑old, and Pre‑K classrooms.
• Support classroom management and create a safe, engaging learning atmosphere.
• Help prepare materials, set up learning stations, and supervise children during activities.
• Collaborate with staff to monitor and promote each child’s developmental progress.

Required profile

• Experience in Early Childhood Development.
• Commitment to the holistic growth—social, spiritual, and educational—of young children.
• Flexible availability, typically within the 8:00 am – 2:45 pm school day.
• 45 hours of DCF classwork completed or a CDA certification; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
