Assistant Purchase Manager / Senior Purchase Executive

About the role

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead the sourcing of chemical raw materials and packaging for a leading manufacturer of adhesives and chemicals. The role combines strategic vendor management with day‑to‑day purchasing operations to ensure uninterrupted production.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement of chemical raw materials and packaging supplies.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop vendors, negotiating price, quality, and delivery terms.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely material availability with production.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Finance teams to align purchasing activities with business goals.
• Prepare purchase orders, maintain documentation, and track supplier performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement, preferably within chemicals, paints, adhesives, inks, or related industries.
• B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or B.Sc. in Chemistry.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a focus on cost optimisation.
