About the role
UPES is seeking an Assistant Professor in Statistics to join its School of Advanced Engineering. The position involves a blend of teaching, research, and service responsibilities, with a strong focus on student success and scholarly contribution.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in statistics, ensuring high-quality instruction.
- Develop and supervise research projects, publish findings in reputable journals, and contribute to the department’s research agenda.
- Participate in departmental and university service activities, including curriculum development and committee work.
- Collaborate with colleagues across and beyond the department to foster interdisciplinary initiatives.
Required profile
- PhD degree in statistics or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Proven record of scholarly research and publications in the relevant field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
