Assistant Professor – Psychology (Data Science & Bioinformatics)

About the role

JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) invites applications for faculty positions at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor levels in the Department of Psychology. The focus areas include RCI specialization, Data Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures and tutorials in psychology and related quantitative disciplines.
• Design and supervise research projects, guiding students and Ph.D. scholars.
• Publish research findings in Scopus/WOS indexed journals.
• Participate in departmental and university committees, contributing to curriculum development and accreditation activities.
• Engage with industry and research partners to foster collaborative initiatives.

Required profile

• UG degree with at least 75% marks or PG degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent).
• Ph.D. in Psychology or a relevant field is mandatory for all levels.
• Assistant Professor: No prior teaching experience required; Associate Professor: minimum 8 years of full‑time teaching, including 2 years post‑Ph.D.; Professor: minimum 10 years of full‑time teaching, including 3 years as Associate Professor.
• Research record: minimum eight Scopus/WOS publications for Associate Professor, ten for Professor, with successful supervision of at least two Ph.D. scholars for the Professor level.
