About the role

The Malabar Cancer Centre in Thalassery is seeking qualified candidates for a permanent Assistant Professor position. The role involves contributing to the centre’s academic and research missions, delivering high‑quality teaching, and supporting clinical education.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, seminars and practical sessions to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Develop and update curriculum and teaching materials in line with current medical standards.
• Supervise student research projects, theses and clinical rotations.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees and peer‑review activities.
• Engage in scholarly research, publish findings and obtain research funding where applicable.

Required profile

• Relevant advanced degree (e.g., MD, PhD) in a medical or allied health discipline.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the university or medical college level.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to academic excellence and continuous professional development.
