Assistant Professor - Modern Computer Architecture

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Professor to teach Modern Computer Architecture. The role combines classroom instruction with hands‑on lab supervision, guiding students from logic gates to microprocessor design.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures on instruction sets, pipelining, memory hierarchy and microprocessor implementation, using real‑world VLSI examples.
• Design and supervise lab projects that involve RTL coding, datapath and control unit development, and cache design.
• Develop assessments, lab manuals and project specifications that reflect current industry practices.
• Mentor students in their academic and professional growth and keep course content up‑to‑date with emerging technologies.

Required profile

• M.Tech or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 0‑2 years of experience in processor subsystems, SoC integration, RTL design or related VLSI work.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of computer architecture concepts such as instruction sets, pipelining and cache systems.
• Proficiency with VLSI design tools (Cadence, ModelSim, Synopsys, Xilinx, Mentor Graphics).
• Hands‑on experience with HDL languages (Verilog, VHDL) and scripting (Tcl, Shell, Python).
