About the role

Chandigarh University is seeking a full‑time Assistant Professor to join its vibrant faculty in Chandigarh. The successful candidate will engage students through lectures, tutorials and labs, while contributing to the university’s research agenda and academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including lectures, tutorials and laboratory sessions.
• Design and update course materials, assignments, exams and project guidelines.
• Mentor and guide students in academic work, research projects and career planning.
• Conduct original research, publish findings in reputable journals and present at conferences.
• Participate in curriculum development, academic committees and departmental events.
• Uphold academic integrity and promote inclusive classroom practices.

Required profile

• Relevant postgraduate degree (Master’s) and preferably a PhD in the relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
• Demonstrated teaching ability at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.
• Evidence of research activity, such as publications in reputable journals or conference presentations.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse learners.
• Commitment to ethical standards, inclusivity and adherence to institutional regulations.
