Assistant Professor – Computer Science

About the role

Newton School of Technology is seeking passionate educators to join its faculty as Assistant Professors in Computer Science. You will teach undergraduate students, mentor them through projects and internships, and help bridge academic theory with industry practice.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, labs, tutorials, assignments and project‑based learning for undergraduate courses.
• Explain complex Computer Science concepts in an engaging, application‑oriented manner.
• Mentor students on technical projects, research, hackathons and career preparation.
• Integrate real‑world industry examples, case studies, tools and technologies into coursework.
• Design, update and continuously improve course content, assignments and project work.
• Organise coding sessions, technical workshops, seminars and other academic activities.
• Collaborate with industry partners and academic teams to keep curriculum relevant.
• Assess student performance, provide feedback and support academic innovation.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in Computer Science, typically a PhD or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor undergraduate students.
• Passion for combining theoretical rigor with practical, industry‑focused learning.
• Experience in curriculum development and academic research is a plus.
