Assistant Professor – Computer Science & IT

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Professor to join the Department of Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology at Sona College of Technology, Salem. The successful candidate will contribute to high‑quality teaching, research, and industry collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, labs, and tutorials in CSE/IT subjects.
• Design and update curricula, course materials, and assessment tools.
• Guide student projects, internships, and research activities.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish findings in reputable journals.
• Participate in departmental meetings, accreditation processes, and community outreach.

Required profile

• Graduate degree (B.E./B.Tech) and postgraduate degree (M.E./M.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline; Ph.D. is optional.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in teaching, research, or industry, though fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for student development.
