Assistant Manager – Taxation (CA/ICWA)

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager – Taxation to join our Corporate A&F function. The role involves ensuring compliance with direct and indirect tax laws, preparing statutory filings, and supporting tax planning initiatives for a diversified public sector enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST, TDS/TCS and related regulations.
• Prepare and file GST returns, Income Tax returns and other statutory tax filings within prescribed timelines.
• Manage TDS compliance, including deduction, deposit, reconciliation and filing of returns.
• Handle tax assessments, audits, notices, scrutiny proceedings and correspondence with tax authorities.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and advise management on implications.
• Review accounting transactions from a taxation perspective and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist in tax planning and optimisation while maintaining statutory compliance.
• Prepare tax reconciliations and support statutory, internal and CAG audits.
• Coordinate with external consultants, auditors and regulatory authorities on taxation matters.
• Maintain tax records, documentation and MIS reports related to taxation.
• Support implementation of taxation processes and controls in ERP systems.

Required profile

• CA or ICWA qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of post‑qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of GST, Income Tax, TDS and TCS provisions.
• Ability to stay updated on tax law changes and interpret their impact.
