Assistant Manager - Solar O&M

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to lead Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of solar power plants at our Vijaypur site. The role involves overseeing plant performance, ensuring compliance with standards, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to maximise generation and minimise losses.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the site according to SOPs and liaise with local authorities such as the Electricity Board.
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (generation, losses, auxiliary consumption, equipment availability, PR) to drive plant efficiency.
• Prepare and submit executed Joint Management Reports (JMR) on schedule.
• Oversee project hand‑over and takeover processes, ensuring all protocols are followed.
• Manage financial aspects including imprest recoupment and contract payments.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are adhered to for all plant equipment.
• Maintain a register of plant issues and coordinate resolution with engineering, contracts, accounts and environmental teams.
• Engage with local communities, contractors and suppliers, and plan spares, manpower and budget requirements.
• Administer contracts, track service level agreements and process vendor invoices for timely payment.
• Conduct energy audits and implement measures to reduce power loss.

Required profile

• B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• 8–12 years of experience in solar power plant O&M or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Indian regulatory bodies and utility‑scale solar operations.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts and cross‑functional teams.
