Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer – Manufacturing Front‑Line Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Manufacturing Front‑Line Manager for the Plunger element value stream at Bosch’s Bannikuppe site. The role combines assistant‑manager responsibilities with senior‑engineer expertise to ensure product liability compliance, shop‑floor discipline and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Plan headcount, allocate work and manage shop‑floor discipline.
• Oversee production planning, material availability, tool and consumable management.
• Report and manage deviations, cooperate with cross‑functional teams and support internal/external audits.
• Drive cost‑efficiency initiatives, identify optimisation opportunities and log management data.
• Maintain inventory (WIP, stock reconciliation, quarantine) and review KPI status (SQCD board).
• Coordinate sample manufacturing and ensure adherence to QMS standards (OPL closure, document retention).

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience, with at least 2 years in shop‑floor management or a related role.
• Minimum 2 years in automotive or manufacturing industry (preferred).
• Good communication in English; Kannada is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of MSA, SPC, quality systems, Shainin tools and quick changeover.
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0, BPS, SAP, EWAK, MES and lean manufacturing.
• Proficiency with CNC machines, assembly MAE controls, testing benches, vision systems and scanners.
• Advanced use of MS Office and IT tools for data logging and analysis.
