Assistant Manager – Sales (Western Region, India)

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Sales will be based in Mumbai and support theatrical sales operations across the Western Region of India. You will drive revenue growth, manage exhibitor relationships and ensure successful film launches that maximise box‑office performance.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve regional box‑office revenue and distribution targets for Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and other assigned territories.
• Negotiate commercial terms with multiplex chains, independent exhibitors and distribution partners.
• Track film bookings, screen allocations, show timings and occupancy trends to optimise revenue.
• Maintain strong relationships with cinema owners and programming teams; act as primary contact for assigned accounts.
• Coordinate release planning with marketing, finance, print services and distribution teams.
• Analyse box‑office performance, market trends and competitor activity; prepare regular sales reports and provide actionable insights.
• Identify new exhibition partners, explore alternative distribution opportunities and support expansion into underserved markets.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to align promotional campaigns with sales objectives and support senior management with forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Media or a related field.
• Experience in theatrical sales, film distribution or related entertainment sales functions.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver results under tight timelines.
