Assistant Manager - Risk Containment Unit

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Risk Containment Unit will support daily fraud monitoring, investigation and reporting for Bajaj Finance Ltd. based at the Pune Corporate Office. The role focuses on minimizing fraud exposure, ensuring robust portfolio health and driving continuous improvement of fraud‑containment processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse suspect transactions and generate timely reports for senior management.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of fraud and dispute cases and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor direct fraud trends, set targets and implement strategies to limit risk.
• Own end‑to‑end central RCU processes, ensuring case closure within defined TAT and high‑quality investigation reports.
• Coordinate with field RCU managers (rural and urban) to track location visits and support investigations.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, ensuring error‑free circulation within stipulated periods.
• Propose policy changes, automation initiatives and new technologies to enhance fraud detection.
• Drive internal processes to capture fraud before loan disbursal, aiming for zero fraud exposure.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with ability to prepare daily, weekly and monthly fraud monitoring reports.
• Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams, especially field investigation units.
• Capability to propose and implement new strategies, system changes and technology solutions for fraud control.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with risk, product, sales and external vendors.
