Assistant Manager – Reservations

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Reservations will drive reservation sales and ensure seamless guest experiences at voco™ Amritsar. You will lead up‑selling initiatives, manage group bookings and support the front‑office team in delivering the brand’s standards. You will collaborate with the Guest Service Leader and Finance Manager to ensure smooth operations.

Key responsibilities

• Sell hotel products and services using up‑selling and suggestive selling techniques.
• Prepare and execute action plans to increase reservation sales and monitor occupancy levels.
• Record special billing arrangements for groups, conventions and manage credit approvals.
• Maintain knowledge of special rates, offers and promotions and communicate them to the team.
• Process reservations received via phone, fax or email, handle amendments, extensions, early departures and “no‑show” investigations.
• Prepare reservation and sales reports for internal management and external partners such as travel agents.
• Promote a one‑team approach through daily communication with all hotel departments.
• Manage the hotel’s presence on the IHG brand website and ensure accurate inventory information.
• Support occupational health and safety procedures and participate in corporate responsibility initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to handle guest enquiries and complaints in line with brand standards.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across hotel departments.
• Attention to detail for accurate reservation handling and reporting.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
• Previous experience in hotel reservations or front‑office operations is preferred.
