Assistant Manager - Project Costing

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Project Costing to lead cost estimation and tender preparation for interior fit‑out projects including drywall, partitions and false ceilings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for drywall, partition, false ceiling, and interior fit‑out projects.
• Analyse project drawings, specifications, BOQs and tender documents.
• Conduct quantity take‑offs from architectural and shop drawings.
• Calculate material, labour, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and keep rates up‑to‑date.
• Identify project risks and advise the Departmental Head on contingency plans.
• Ensure timely submission of techno‑commercial proposals.
• Monitor market pricing trends for drywall materials, framing systems, gypsum board, insulation, ceiling systems and accessories.
• Establish and maintain standard costing databases and historical benchmarking information.
• Understand project profitability and recommend cost‑saving options.
• Support procurement teams with technical and commercial evaluations.
• Collaborate closely with sales, design and cross‑functional teams during pre‑sale and bidding phases.
• Participate in client meetings and technical specification discussions.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality and industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of cost estimation processes for interior fit‑out works.
• Ability to analyse drawings and specifications to derive accurate quantities.
• Experience coordinating with vendors, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Good risk identification and mitigation mindset.
