Assistant Manager – Pharma Warehousing & Cold Chain Logistics

About the role

The Assistant Manager will oversee receipt, storage, and export dispatch of finished pharmaceutical products, ensuring compliance with WHO‑GDP norms and maintaining cold‑chain integrity throughout the logistics process.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise receipt of goods, verify condition, temperature, and match with supplier invoice.
• Ensure proper stacking and storage according to product temperature requirements.
• Manage cold‑chain packaging, data logger usage, and preparation of export invoices/packing lists.
• Prepare complete customs clearance documentation.
• Coordinate with transport vendors for timely arrival of reefer vehicles, safe loading/unloading, and handover at ports; resolve customs issues and arrange AWB.
• Conduct final quality inspections on all outgoing stock.
• Monitor shipments until they reach the destination.
• Communicate dimensions and weight to billing for accurate shipping charge estimation.
• Plan and coordinate with procurement and sales teams as needed.
• Perform vendor screening and freight negotiation based on cargo requirements.
• Complete SOP forms and provide MIS reports as required by management.

Required profile

• Experience in pharmaceutical warehousing and cold‑chain logistics.
• Knowledge of WHO‑GDP norms and export packaging standards.
• Familiarity with customs clearance procedures and freight forwarder coordination.
• Ability to work closely with internal teams such as procurement, sales, and billing.
