Assistant Manager – Operations (Patna)

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Operations will oversee fleet monitoring for retrieval and carting, ensuring timely and accurate load connections through a dedicated network. This role is based in Patna and focuses on optimizing air‑logistics operations while building team capability.

Key responsibilities

• Plan BDA flight requirements in coordination with BDA to optimise capacity and minimise costs.
• Ensure seamless connections of loads from service centres to the hub using the dedicated network plan.
• Maintain and update the Air Network Master, Network Service Guide, Area Masters and Transit Time Masters to guarantee correct routing and transit commitments.
• Identify commercial flight needs, negotiate contracts for air‑lift, and manage related business requirements.
• Continuously seek opportunities for network optimisation and utilisation.
• Develop team capability, provide direction and support to international staff, and mentor sub‑ordinates to build a robust succession pipeline.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operations or network planning within air‑logistics or related transport sectors.
• Strong analytical skills to identify optimisation opportunities and manage capacity utilisation.
• Ability to negotiate contracts and manage commercial flight arrangements.
• Leadership experience with a focus on team development, coaching and succession planning.
• Excellent coordination skills to work with BDA and international staff.
