Assistant Manager – Material Planning (Aviation/MRO)

About the role

The position is responsible for material forecasting, planning and inventory control within an aviation/MRO environment. The role ensures that aircraft materials are available for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, coordinating closely with internal teams and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Material forecasting, planning and inventory control.
• Ensure timely availability of aircraft materials for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
• Plan and coordinate aircraft spares, BFE, IFE, rotables and tooling.
• Manage reorder points, EOQ, service levels and other inventory parameters.
• Handle AOG (Aircraft on Ground) material requirements and urgent coordination.
• Coordinate with vendors/suppliers for material availability and delivery.
• Collaborate with planning, procurement, maintenance and other internal teams.
• Monitor stock levels, including surplus and slow‑moving items.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• 7–8 years of experience in aviation, airlines, MRO or material planning.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP software, AOG handling, vendor coordination, stock/inventory management and material forecasting.
