Assistant Manager – Internal Audit (Consulting)

About the role

KPMG is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Governance, Risk and Compliance Services team in Mumbai. The role focuses on delivering risk‑based internal audit, enterprise risk management and compliance services to a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute risk‑based internal audit engagements for corporate and public‑sector clients.
• Support enterprise risk management initiatives, including risk assessments and model business process development.
• Assist clients with Sarbanes‑Oxley 404 compliance and related reporting requirements.
• Provide compliance assistance on contracts, regulations and corporate governance matters.
• Contribute to advisory services such as corporate governance reviews and risk‑based advisory projects.
• Collaborate with senior audit professionals to deliver high‑quality deliverables and client presentations.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in internal audit, risk management, compliance or related advisory services.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Graduation in finance, accounting, business administration or a related discipline.
