Assistant Manager – Finance Controller

About the role

The Assistant Manager Finance Controller will support the Finance Controller in ensuring financial accuracy, profitability analysis, and cost control across retail stores and business operations. This role combines financial reporting, budgeting, and business partnering to provide data‑driven insights for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly P&L statements for brand, region, and store levels with detailed variance analysis versus budget.
• Ensure timely month‑end and year‑end closing in line with accounting policies.
• Develop annual budgets and monthly forecasts in coordination with retail, merchandising, and marketing teams.
• Track sales performance, margins, and store profitability; present monthly MIS dashboards highlighting trends and KPI deviations.
• Analyze retail performance indicators such as rent‑to‑sales ratio and manpower cost.
• Act as finance business partner to retail operations, providing insights for new store proposals, ROCE, and payback analysis.
• Support marketing spend analysis and ROI tracking for campaigns and promotions.
• Monitor controllable expenses (rent, utilities, manpower, marketing) and identify cost‑optimization opportunities.
• Support process simplification and improve SAP efficiency.
