Assistant Manager - Design (Denim shirts and Shackets)

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Design focused on denim shirts and shackets to join our design team. The role will drive the creation of seasonal collections, from concept through final sample, ensuring alignment with brand direction and market trends.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Brand Designers to interpret seasonal briefs and develop range architecture for denim shirts and shackets.
• Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends in fabrics, washes, fits and styling within the denim category.
• Create seasonal design concepts, mood boards and range boards and present them for approval.
• Coordinate with sourcing and product teams to develop prototypes, manage sample indents, and ensure timely delivery of trade‑show ready collections.
• Prepare detailed specifications, artwork, wash details, trims and colourways for sampling.
• Review and approve proto samples and final gold‑seal samples, providing clear Development & Measurement Hand‑off notes.
• Support trade‑show preparation and present collections to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Creative and detail‑oriented professional with a passion for denim design.
• Strong understanding of seasonal fashion cycles and ability to translate trends into product concepts.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams.
