Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Plumbing Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead plumbing maintenance operations at O.P. Jindal Global University, Sonipat. The role is focused on operational maintenance of mechanical systems rather than new installations, requiring strong technical expertise and supervisory skills.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance of water lifting pumps, hot‑water systems, swimming pools, hydro‑pneumatic systems and all toilet facilities.
• Oversee smoke detectors, fire‑alarm panels, jockey pumps, hydrant and sprinkler systems.
• Inspect incoming materials, ensure compliance with approved standards and execute maintenance plans.
• Assist in forecasting maintenance needs, budgeting and expense scheduling.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4–8 years of operations & maintenance experience (not installation) with STP, ETP and pump‑room expertise.
• Strong organizational ability, attention to detail and capability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Mechanical systems maintenance (pumps, hydro‑pneumatic, hot‑water, swimming‑pool).
• STP and ETP operations.
• Preparation of technical specifications, scopes of work, estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
