Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Bosch Group is seeking an Assistant/Deputy Manager to lead manufacturing engineering activities for wheel speed sensor body lines and sensor unit lines. The role combines process planning, IT infrastructure management, and continuous improvement across the value stream.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and tune manufacturing processes including assembly, welding, camera inspection, label printing and weighing.
• Maintain manufacturing IT systems – servers, VLANs, databases and applications – ensuring uptime and security.
• Manage the MES application: troubleshooting, new line commissioning, user and data security, and rollout of new modules.
• Oversee resistance welding operations, CQI‑15 assessments and related process improvements.
• Prepare and release production documentation such as work instructions, control plans, PFMEA, measurement and test plans.
• Coordinate machine installation, commissioning, validation and release for production.
• Lead Kaizen projects targeting cycle‑time reduction, quality improvement and cost reduction.
• Support new product development from sample generation to SOP, collaborating with sales, IPN and cross‑functional teams.
• Plan CAPEX, procure equipment, tools, jigs and fixtures, and manage supplier quotations.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external audits and close open topics within the value stream.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Instrumentation or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing process planning and industrial engineering within an automotive or brake‑system environment.
