Assistant Manager – Civil Project

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to lead civil engineering activities for power and energy projects, from initiation through commissioning. The role combines site supervision, technical oversight, and stakeholder coordination within a safety‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor civil works ensuring adherence to schedule, quality, and budget.
• Supervise on‑site activities, enforce safety protocols, and maintain environmental standards.
• Review and approve civil drawings, designs, and specifications in line with regulations.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers for material procurement and resource allocation.
• Implement quality assurance procedures and conduct regular inspections.
• Prepare cost estimates, track expenditures, and support cost optimisation.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, progress reports, and compliance records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 4–8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering project management within the Power/Energy sector.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, and MS Project.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction techniques, material specifications, and structural design principles.
• Familiarity with national and international construction codes, soil mechanics, and foundation engineering.
