Assistant Human Resources Manager – Payroll Specialist

About the role

The Assistant Human Resources Manager will support daily HR operations, focusing on recruitment, payroll, employee benefits, and development initiatives. This full‑time position works on‑site in Mumbai and helps ensure HR services meet employee needs while complying with legal and procedural standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the recruitment and hiring process, including interviewing, coordinating with external sources, and attending job fairs.
• Support employee benefits administration, manage unemployment claim activities, and liaise with service providers.
• Help coordinate new‑hire orientation and cross‑training programs to promote smooth daily operations.
• Maintain effective employee communication channels, prepare daily updates, and assist with property‑wide meetings.
• Review progressive discipline documentation for accuracy and consistency.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of HR or related experience, **or** a 2‑year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow HR standard operating procedures.
