About the role
The Assistant Front Office Manager supports the Front Office Manager in overseeing all front‑office functions at the Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel. This includes supervising bell staff, the switchboard, and guest services to ensure seamless check‑in and check‑out processes, high guest satisfaction, and optimal departmental financial performance.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in managing the Front Desk team, providing leadership, coaching, and employee recognition across all shifts.
- Supervise Bell/Door staff and Switchboard operations, ensuring efficient service delivery.
- Handle guest complaints, resolve disputes, and implement corrective action plans based on feedback.
- Monitor daily operations to maintain quality standards and meet guest service goals.
- Collaborate with the Front Office Manager to develop and track performance metrics.
- Communicate departmental objectives clearly to staff and ensure alignment with hotel standards.
- Participate in the development of service improvement initiatives and continuous training.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, or a related area, OR an associate degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on integrity and teamwork.
- Ability to lead, influence, and motivate staff while maintaining a collaborative work environment.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and continuous improvement.
