Assistant Engineer – QA & Water Treatment

About the role

Jindal Stainless Limited is seeking an Assistant Engineer to join its Central QA – RO ZLD department. The role supports quality‑assurance processes and the design, operation and maintenance of reverse‑osmosis and zero‑liquid‑discharge water‑treatment systems within the mining and metals sector. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic, sustainability‑focused environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design, operation and maintenance of reverse osmosis (RO) and zero liquid discharge (ZLD) systems to optimise water‑treatment processes.
• Conduct routine inspections and performance evaluations of QA systems to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to water treatment and quality assurance.
• Support implementation of process improvements and preventive‑maintenance schedules to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation and data analysis for quality audits and management reviews.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for water treatment and quality control, recommending corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations specific to the mining and metals industry.
• Assist in vendor evaluation and procurement coordination for RO and ZLD equipment and materials.
• Participate in training programmes to stay updated on latest water‑treatment technologies and best practices.
• Support senior engineers in project planning, execution and commissioning activities.
