Assistant Director – Internal Audit

About the role

EY is seeking an Assistant Director for its Global Delivery Services (GDS) Internal Audit team. The role will lead end‑to‑end internal audit engagements worldwide, partnering with senior stakeholders to strengthen risk management, governance and control environments.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and oversee internal audit engagements, including risk assessments, scoping, testing, reporting and follow‑up.
• Apply risk‑based judgement to prioritize audit areas, identify emerging risks and adjust scope as needed.
• Leverage data analytics, automation and AI‑enabled audit techniques to improve audit effectiveness and efficiency.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, presenting findings, discussing remediation actions and maintaining professional independence.
• Lead, coach and develop audit team members, allocate work, manage performance and build technical capability.
• Contribute to annual audit planning, risk assessments and continuous improvement of audit methodology.

Required profile

• Strong technical depth in internal auditing with solid professional judgement.
• Experience leading complex audit engagements and managing audit teams.
• Ability to partner with senior stakeholders and influence remediation plans.
