Assistant Cost Manager – Civil Systems

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for an Assistant Cost Manager to support civil systems cost management for projects in Ahmedabad. The position covers both pre‑contract estimating and post‑contract cost control, ensuring accurate billing, payment certification and cost reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare pre‑contract cost estimates, procurement and tender documents.
• Perform quantity take‑off and validate quantities for various civil systems.
• Verify bills, certify payments and conduct site measurements.
• Assist the Cost Manager in preparing cost reports and final accounts.
• Carry out feasibility studies and write procurement reports.
• Manage tender analysis, pre‑qualification and tender list preparation.
• Identify missing details in drawings, BOQ and specifications and raise RFIs.

Required profile

• B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch in Civil Engineering (post‑graduate qualification is a plus).
• Relevant experience working for a construction consultancy in India.
• Strong technical knowledge of civil systems and BOQ items.
• Ability to analyse specifications, make assumptions for quantity take‑off and understand procurement routes.
