Assistant Cost Manager – Civil

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Assistant Cost Manager to support the Commission Manager in delivering civil construction projects. The role involves assisting the cost management team across a variety of project sizes, ensuring accurate cost planning, procurement support, and change control.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct background research, data collection and benchmarking for cost estimates.
• Prepare and update cost plans to support the cost management team.
• Compile tender lists, analyse tenders and draft tender reports.
• Assist in preparing procurement documentation.
• Address variations, support change control processes and negotiate minor financial matters.
• Perform cost checks, valuations and assist in final account preparation.
• Track cost progress and draft monthly cost reports.
• Maintain document control for all cost‑management documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering or a related field (master’s degree is a plus).
• 2‑5 years of experience in cost management or construction projects.
• Understanding of quantity surveying tools and methodologies.
• Native‑level proficiency in the local language and business‑level English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Cost‑X or equivalent cost estimation software.
