About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Cook to join our school kitchen team, preparing nutritious meals for students and staff while upholding the highest standards of hygiene and safety. The role supports the head chef in daily operations and contributes to a positive dining experience within an educational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus and specific dietary requirements.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
• Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies as needed, and keep accurate records of food stocks and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Assist in menu planning and support the head chef with daily kitchen tasks.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cook in an educational or institutional setting.
• Food safety certification is a plus.
