Lead Engineer – Hospitality Operations

About the role

The Lead Engineer will oversee all engineering, maintenance and technical services at Hyatt Place Vithalapur, ensuring that hotel operations align with corporate strategy and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise repair, maintenance and engineering activities in accordance with departmental standards.
• Execute the Preventive Maintenance Programme and conduct regular inspections of life‑safety and building systems.
• Ensure fire, life‑safety and audio‑visual systems are fully operational and compliant with local regulations.
• Manage energy‑conservation measures and monitor the condition of all mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Review and approve invoices, purchase requests and technical service contracts.
• Oversee punctuality, uniform compliance and professional appearance of engineering staff.
• Develop team skills through training, coaching and performance discussions.
• Handle guest and internal complaints related to engineering services, ensuring timely resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel engineering or facilities management.
• Strong knowledge of local building, safety and environmental codes.
• Ability to lead, schedule and multi‑skill a team of technicians.
• Experience in managing budgets, invoices and vendor relationships.
