Art Teacher (Primary School)

About the role

The school is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher to deliver engaging art lessons to primary‑school students. You will nurture imagination, develop technical skills and promote confidence through a variety of artistic activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets and resources on a fortnightly schedule, delivering engaging art lessons that meet developmental needs.
• Foster creativity, imagination and self‑expression through diverse artistic activities and mediums.
• Introduce students to different art techniques, concepts, styles and cultural perspectives.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages artistic exploration.
• Assess, document and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Organise and display student artwork, and coordinate exhibitions, competitions and projects.
• Maintain and manage art supplies and classroom resources safely and efficiently.
• Integrate art with other curriculum areas to enhance interdisciplinary learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Art Education or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience teaching art in a school or similar educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of various art forms, techniques and creative practices.
• Excellent communication, organisational and classroom‑management skills.
• Passion for nurturing creativity and artistic talent in young learners.
