About the role
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for planning and driving sales growth within a designated city or branch, working closely with the Regional Sales Manager and cross‑functional teams to meet revenue, profitability and customer service targets.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales operating plan that reflects local market dynamics, competitor activity and prospect opportunities.
- Achieve agreed‑upon book size, profitability, growth and service objectives while ensuring compliance with sales processes and risk guidelines.
- Collaborate with Risk, Operations and Sales Governance to maintain portfolio health and address under‑performance.
- Identify and act on channel optimisation, cross‑selling, and process‑improvement opportunities across ABHFL and ABC product lines.
- Support team members on complex cases, intervene in exceptions, and remove bottlenecks to meet targets.
- Maintain high loan conversion, sanction and utilisation rates and build a robust sourcing funnel.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of financial products, loan processing and credit quality assessment.
- Proven ability to lead a sales team, drive results and manage risk exposure.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship‑building and market‑analysis skills.
- Ability to adapt strategies to competitive pressures and achieve desired market share.
Required skills
- Knowledge of loan underwriting and credit risk principles.
- Familiarity with sales governance and compliance frameworks.
