Area Production Controller – CSN Plant, PS & PP

About the role

The Area Controller will lead the controlling function for the CSN Plant as well as the PS and PP departments. Reporting to the Lead – Fixed & Plant Cost Controlling, the role involves budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and supporting new projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual planning rounds, detailed budgets and monthly forecasts at cost‑center and GL level, incorporating management assumptions.
• Coordinate month‑end closing activities, post provision entries, and provide explanations to internal and external auditors.
• Develop and maintain product costing (Spartenrechnung) and allocation logic for common administrative costs across multiple sites.
• Analyse variances between actual, forecast and prior year figures, presenting insights and risk assessments to management.
• Support new‑project cost estimations, business case evaluations and make‑vs‑buy analyses.
• Approve shopping carts, DLVs and MPRs, and assist efficiency workshops in identifying cost‑saving ideas.

Required profile

• B.E. plus MBA/ICWA/CA or equivalent professional finance qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost controlling, budgeting and GL accounting.
• Strong understanding of production, logistics and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with department heads and present financial data clearly.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Knowledge of cost accounting, project costing and financial reporting.
