Area Medical Advisor, Vaccines

About the role

Pfizer is seeking an Area Medical Advisor for Vaccines to serve as a scientific bridge between the company and key opinion leaders (KOLs). This remote, field‑based position will support the development and dissemination of medical information, ensuring optimal product use and fostering research collaborations.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain knowledge‑based relationships with KOLs across the assigned region.
• Educate healthcare professionals on vaccine products, addressing scientific queries.
• Collect and relay insights on product usage, unmet needs, and research opportunities to internal teams.
• Stay current with scientific literature and clinical developments in the vaccine therapeutic area.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, clinical research, and medical information teams to ensure consistent messaging.
• Support implementation of medical activities aligned with brand strategies.
• Participate in KOL meetings, advisory boards, pre‑launch and launch events, and act as speaker or moderator for CMEs and round‑table discussions.
• Provide medical expertise for sales force training.

Required profile

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in Medicine or related medical sciences (e.g., MBBS, MD, PhD, MPH).
• 0‑2 years of experience in Medical Affairs.
• Basic knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, drug discovery, R&D, commercialization, and relevant regulations.
• Understanding of pharmaceutical medicine, clinical pharmacology, medical statistics, and therapeutic areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including medical writing and presentation skills.
• Analytical reasoning and sound medical judgment.
• Effective interpersonal and networking abilities.
