Area Manager, Fulfilment Centre

About the role

Amazon is looking for an experienced Area Manager to lead a team of warehouse associates in one of its fulfillment centres. You will be responsible for delivering a safe, high‑quality, and productive environment that meets Amazon’s customer‑centric standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and improve safety, quality, customer experience and productivity metrics for your department.
• Review work forecasts and set daily productivity targets to meet overall building goals.
• Partner with other Area Managers to balance labor and ensure an efficient shift schedule.
• Support all safety programs and ensure OSHA compliance across the work area.
• Identify, lead and implement process‑improvement initiatives using Lean tools.
• Train, coach and develop warehouse associates to achieve performance objectives.

Required profile

• Direct management experience with a focus on employee performance.
• Proven ability to work with performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Comfort with regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching, and ability to safely navigate ladders, stairs and gangways.
