Area Head – Retail Gold Loans (Kolkata)

About the role

The Area Head – Retail Gold Loans leads the strategy, growth and profitability of the gold loan portfolio across the assigned region. Reporting to senior leadership, the role drives AUM, disbursement, P&L, branch expansion and compliance through effective team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute business plans for the area, including manpower structure and productivity benchmarks aligned with national strategy.
• Build new relationships with all stakeholders of enabling functions and regional partners to expand the gold loan business.
• Manage a team of multiple branch heads and oversee distributed branch teams across the area.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Monitor portfolio performance, market updates and maintain portfolio quality.
• Achieve targets for assets under management, loan disbursement, profit & loss and branch network growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading large teams within the financial services or NBFC sector.
• Ability to build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in loan products.
• Experience in portfolio monitoring and market analysis.
